John, Great playing and that guitar really roars! You must be pleased. Is that the sound you were hoping for? How do you think the ladder bracing will hold up to the light strings over time? I'd love to make a ladder braced guitar. |

John: What do you call the sound board treatment. I think it's Don Williams that does that light shading too, or maybe it's Brock. I like it. |

Superb playing on a great sounding guitar, makes me feel I'm back in Mississippi, not that I've ever been to Mississippi! Just shows that we can get much too mesmerised by the 'X' and that sometimes the simple is the best. We should all make a resolution to build a ladder braced guitar, set that top free! John you are a very wise man. Colin |

John: Loved the sound. Punchy, and clear, jangling highs with that old time mid-range. Not at all nasal or constrained, like some smaller guitars. |

Great soundclip..I love the authentic sound of blues played on a ladder braced guitar. I also love the vintage look of the guitar One thing...you dont have the LBCG listed under your guitar models link...that guitar I think is a winner as it is different enough to attract even the most jaded fingerstyle player...vintage sound but from a new guitar!! |

I'm contemplating a site rebuild in the near future. It's just such a pain to go thru though and there are many things I'd rather do. It's kinda like doing homework ![]() |
